Running is great. Running with a view is even better. With great weather around the corner, no more excuses not to step out outside and hit the roads and trails. Get outdoor, put these shoes on and go! Before doing anything, however, look up our running section for the essential gear.
Shoes & Clothing
Regarding shoes, you have many options. Minimalists, maximalists, trail runners… we have it all. We recently fell in love with Hoka One One – mainly because of the brand’s exceptional quality towards support and comfort, but also because it stands out with funky styles and colors.
Clothing and accessories may vary with temperature and time of the day. We have a pretty solid selection – check it out right here.
Ok, let’s rewind. Here are some classic Montreal spots where you can unplug for a couple of kilometers – as well as more secluded routes. #getoutdoor
Probably the first place you might think of when you live in Montreal and want to go for a run. And you notice it when it’s nice out because half of the city is on the mountain. However, it never really feels packed. It’s a great place to build up your endurance and discover many trails.
One of my favorite places for a night run – with the waterside breeze. I wouldn’t recommend going on the weekend – you might end up stuck a sea of tourists forever.
One of Montreal’s hidden treasures, located right besides Parc Jean Drapeau. From there, you’ll probably get one of the nicest view of the city you can get. Even better than the one you’ll get at the top of Mount-Royal.
The Lachine Canal
If you follow the bike path, you’ll get a great amount of kilometers along the canal. It can also be a great excuse to stop at the Atwater Market or Terrasses St-Ambroise on your way back… #motivation
A great discovery located in the East end. With a view of the St-Lawrence and the boats, it doesn’t even feel like you’re in the city. The perfect place to decompress and enjoy great weather.
